waxing partial frameworks.... do you use plastic patterns, or wax patterns, or free hand wax?

a few years ago we used plastic patern... but i think the one we used is no good. some residue left after burn out, so result metal is porous... now we use wax patern..

I use a combination of wax and plastic

I use both plastic and wax patterns.I prefer waxes without tensions.
I had sometimes problems with porossity,when the wax patterns didn't glue with the investment model well.
Normally,there is no problem,when you glue the profiles very well on the model.
