New version for exocad user. Now we arrive at the version 5057.
Important DentalCAD change
The behavior of crown bottom fitting changed with additional spacing that was preconfigured in DentalDB to be uniform in all directions now for better fitting. Note, that this change might require tweaking your additional spacing parameters of your material parameters, especially when larger values were used in the past.
After this release, no new features will be added to the exocad software with “classic” user interface. Our developments will then focus on the “next generation” version which will include major user interface changes. A test version of the “next generation” exocad software will be available to partners later this year.
XP Support
The current version will still run on Windows XP. However, XP support will be dropped in future releases.
dentalshare (beta) available to the public
Registration for dentalshare is now open; users can sign up themselves to get access to dentalshare, directly from DentalDB. For further info, see
http://exocad.com/dentalshare. There's no extra cost - dentalshare usage is free for all exocad users entitled to software updates.
Who can use this software version?
The new version will only work with dongles for which an update agreement is present. Remember that your customers are entitled to one year of free updates starting from the first usage of the dongle. For older dongles, a new update key must be purchased in order to use the new release. If you receive the message "Sorry, the software update key is not valid", this means that the purchase of a new update contract is necessary.
