Does anybody mill a NP screw retained unit? Or is it possible? For any of the major implants.
Thx Dave

Luke, we currently use cast to gold abuts. The Drs. want that. Most of the Imp. we get are Straumann and Astra. I'm lookine for something that is dependable with the fits being like the stock parts. Have you seen any that have been milled and how do they fit? Dave

You can get milled layerable abutments, no question.

Willthey be reliable - yea. Lots of places make that claim. Will they be identical to stock parts - no. Straumann is invested in not offering this solution because it opens their implant to 3rd party manufacturing.

The people offering these things won't ever make it publicly known. Phone around.

I thought Panthera offers it.

Some companies send the Ti-bases with a castable plastic sleeve, which is aimed at that solution.
there you go. I personally don't use nonprecious anymore, but that's what I would do.

Yeah I would never cast the entire abutment.. how do you even know if you have bubbles on the inside of the screw seat?

I know, but it is just for the Neodent platform, which I have come across just once...

Dess offers CrCo UCLAs. Straumann example here:

Maybe other companies offer it too, like Preat. I have never cast NP to a CrCo abutment, Not sure how well that goes...

Ah yeah I see that now, I thought they would make one for straumann at least. Dont see too many CrCo uclas.. Dess has a wide selection though.

Dess's libraries proved the most arduous to edit imo. But still doable.
