Want to buy a cad cam

Hi guys im interesting in buying a cad cam. I dont know anything about cad cams but i know that is the future. Can you suggest something or give me some directions like what is important for a scanner to have or a milling machine so i can look up for that

Only thing i know is, it makes your life much easier in the lab, i dont own such thing but i saw some cool stuff, like it makes the shape you only need to "paint" it with ceramic or smth like that...derp
