.....not sure about drunken controllers or electric fluctuations, but the mill acted up around job number 40. I was able to run problem free until job number 111. So it doesn't make much sense as it ran full pucks fine for weeks without exception. I am located in U.S. with 3phase power and the same computer that has run that mill from day one, no updates and all power settings are set correctly. Wonder if anyone else oversees are seeing this issues.
I re-ran the same job with no puck last evening and the file had no errors. I even ran another smaller job with no issues, so now waiting on VHF to step up as much as Jensen Industries has,.....with there support and time and material/tool reimbursement. This is not the only K-5 running in the U.S. so wouldn't u think there would be a common failure/drunk cnc elsewhere in all the US. I don't think the machine is bad, I like the results when it runs trouble free as it did for last month, but I also dislike the unknown as to when it might happen again? Having the 3axis VHF for backup and Jensen milling services if needed is why I will sleep well tonight and tomorrow. It pays to remember these things when making large equipment purchases...price isn't always the only consideration.
Lastly, I'm sure VHF would like this resolved asap as they would like to keep pace with other equipment sellers...I haven't read any similiar posts regarding Roland, Datron, Imes or other mill manufacturers. Just my 2 cents.
