Hello! We are a small laboratory in Argentina and we want to acquire a second milling machine. Currently, we have an IMES CORITEC One Plus, but we want to add another dry milling machine. The two available options are the Rolan DWX-52D or the Amman Motion2 DNA Generation (with the option to add wet milling in the future). I understand that both brands are world leaders, but in the case of Roland, I believe it is a simpler machine and cheaper to maintain. What do you think about this?

Depends on support. If you have the money and the support for the AG is fast and reliable, then I would go with AG. Roland is a good machine but search this forum and you will see many request for help with Roland issues where with the AG it is wait time for service complaints.

The problem is the entry of machines into Argentina due to the great restriction on imports. I would like to continue with IMES, but they come in small quantities and only once a year (150 dry milling machines cost around 49,000 USD),while Roland and Amann can be obtained more quickly (Roland 52D for 27,000 USD / Amann for 44,000 USD).

AG is a closed system, very difficult to handle with different cams , only the ag cam with annual fee, and the service cost is more expensive, something to take care, also in the used market is more complicated to sale.
AG is fast but , dependes the cam you use with Roland you can mill a crown in 15 min, not much difference,

Rolands are a zirconia and wax single unit unit or small bridge work horse. Anything thin margin, or a different material will either chip or wear the spindle down.

AG is about to do away with the proprietary CAM and go to a mostly open machine. Should happen in the next couple of months, my sources say.

Hello, my name is Jane Qi, customer service specialist for DGSHAPE A Roland company.

I can't speak on the behalf of AG for your region, but for DGSHAPE (Roland),we have multiple layers of support available for you.

First, our dry mill devices are easily supported by the user, even to the point where a user can replace their spindle in 20-min. Our devices are user friends, easy to set up and maintain, and the user can perform these actions without help from support.

In the even that support is needed, the reseller in your region is the first point of contact. After which, should you need further assistance, we have people like myself online, and our entire company available to help as long as your product is under warranty.

Hope the above answers will clear your concerns. If you need my further support, please feel free to reach out. Thanks.
