Hi.
I'm a mechanical engineer.
I have a .dcm file of a single tooth. I want to convert that file to .stl format so i can open it with a 3D design program like Solidworks, Catia etc... and work on it.
Does anyone know how can I convert a .dcm file to .stl?

From what I understand, you cannot convert an .STL file into a solid file to import it into

solidworks. It would have to be a solid file. You can convert and export from Solidworks

into .STL but not vise versa.

Solidworks can import STL's and work with it... used it a few times to refine some objects I made with Rhino, as it has better filleting functions...

I know it can import them, I was just stating that it can't convert STL's into solid files.

The software doesn't work that way.
