Laptop selection help for Medit scanner/ Exocad system?

I love it, it is strong and I have not had any problems. This is my set up at work and if I design at home I'll hook it up to my 50" flat screen via HDMI and I am good to go.

Do you have a scanner hooked up to this G74SX laptop, too? If so, which one and how's your scan speed?

No I don't. I have this set up just for designing. We have two 3Shapes a 700 and 800 but they are hooked up to the factory computer that came with scanners.
