Hey I have a bunch of alloy and I have no idea what's it in it. I'm thinking about refining it, I would like to find out gold content. It will make it easier for calculations of return. The name that is on the alloy says SFC. It's a white alloy.

Silver FC.
Im guessing 60 to 75% silver, the balance in Palladium and trace elements.
A lot of refiners wont check (or pay) for silver unless you request it.

Just to be clear...Im guessing.
It could be Silver Free Ceramic with a substantial gold content.

Found money. Send it in to your favorite refiner, they're not going to screw you over on it.

Oh boy.
Back when I used lots of alloy, I tried a 'new' refiner. I always used the same metals, sent it in just before the end of the year and received predictable results. The new folks (VERY well known company) called with the results. A small fraction of whats expected. I said screw that, send it back. They said they cant, its mixed with everything else.

They probably also like getting in clean metal to refine and assay.
