Hi
I was trying to find a way to make wax playable . so I found that it can be done by
mixing it wax with petroleum jelly.
I need that to use it for the placement of anterior wax facings .
The question is : is it safe to use it with emax pressing?
will it burn without residues?

Aren't you talking about a little tiny ball of it just to aid in positioning the facing?
You could try placing some on something clean and burning it up in your burnout furnace and then checking to see if there is any ash?
Hopefully you didn't stumble upon the recipe for C-4.....

Vaseline does leave residue when put through a furnace. Have used it in the past support emax veneers while building up ceramic, only to have to strip it off again as ceramic affected by residue, goes black/grey on outer surface. Hope that helps.

No, it doesn't. Look no further than the residue left on the outside of investment rings when it is used on the silicone former or base as a release agent.

Hopefully you didn't stumble upon the recipe for C-4.....

Awww, come on- add a little excitement to the day!

I think it might be different when left as a layer at the exterior, vs. interior when part of the wax pattern
contacted vaseline, which itself may have been contaminated.
In the good old days, we always use a hot (read steaming) cotton pledget soaked with Die-lube placed
into the flame to clean the pattern before investing . . .
