Have any of you ever noticed dark spots in your zirconia? I noticed mine in my photos and thought it was dirty lens....no! Maybe it was a speck of dirt,,,no! Maybe it was discolored by excessive contact with a dark surface,,,, NO! Si I did some experimenting... in transmitted light it was dark,,, dark grey almost black. However in reflected light it was white...opaque, which explains why no light gets transmitted through. Looks like raw zr before sintering, but not soft. Whats the cause of these opaque spots, never had it,,,,,,,,, any thoughts?

Did you grind into any of the spots?

If you never make a decision then your possibilities are endless.

Dark spots appear when the stain is allowed to poll on one spot for a longer time...

That's what I was thinking since it was on the incisals and occlusal cusps; but was unsure because I have no experience in coloring zirconia.

dark spots in Zirconia framework results from many reasons :
it could be miscoloring (e.g drops from another dark shade )
Or metal residues on the work place or instruments ,old color liquids ..etc
What coloring set do you use ? are you using metal or blastic tweezers ??
