3Shape milling machine?

Spoke to local tech- he said 3Shape is coming out with teir own milling machine??
I Can't find anything about it on the web?

Complete with yearly CAM dongle maintenance fees...just kidding. They at least are trying, with the E Series scanners.

Haven't heard about a mill, but if it's true and being their 1st generation,
I'd probably pass on it. It would have to be blow away for me to even consider it.

the only things 3shape unveiled at ids this year was a new line of scanners, and their CBCT scanner.

no milling machine.

Why make a milling machine ??? There are hundrends of them out there .

it's the ivoclar Programill One - they aren't making one. At least not yet. Nor do i see a future where they do. They aren't CNC specialists they are CAD specialists. Maybe they buy a 3D printing company in the future somewhere ..... more like what 3DSystems did with geomagic

3shape makes a Mill,,,,makes complete sense.
They already have the "in-roads" to the dental office.

I wouldn't be surprised if they had their own milling machine. They will be just like Sirona and then somebody(Henry Schein?) will eventually own them.
