I think what you're seeing is Tom and others on here trying to defend it rather than blatant self-promotion.

i do have to strongly disagree on this one.

he knows exactly what he is doing. for a person that obviously values "winning" at any cost more than anything else, the neck hairs that he raises on this site is just the icing on the cake to him.

it is the game.
defend/promote ... defend/promote... promote, promote, promote,... its the same thing for him. he may have been a tech at one time,.. but now hes a salesman,.. thats what they do. for a salesman nothing is more important than promotion. defend is just the cloak that he has chosen because he knows by instinct and history how well it works.

even he has made reference on this site about how its a "dental network" for all dental people. he said if it was just a "dental tech" forum he would not come around. why is that? ... he knows that the Dentist also come on here. thats the whole point. he also knows that to get them to call him, to some degree he needs to get them to see his side. "what im doing is not so bad ... its good.. see.. see how good it is".. and maybe throw in a little sympathy in for good measure. poor guy,.. everybody's always picking in him.


i agree with everyone here when they claim hes highly intelligent. everything he does is calculated. he sees every angle... winning is everything for this type. nothing else matters.

why is it such a big deal to him if a person decides to stay anonymous on the internet? (like thats so uncommon). its our choice? there is nothing that says when you sign up here you have to disclose everything? he wants to paint it as cowerdness to others on here.. but lets not forget his level of intelligence. the real reason is this: what he is really saying is be like me,.. i put my picture and real name and all my info up here! you should too! be a man!... yes he does. touted as the big act of bravery. when really he knows that combined with staying at the top of this forum so often.. having all his info in plain sight is the best way for any potential new clients to see him.

make no mistake.
this person is here to get your doctors to send him the work instead of sending it to you. that is his job. its what he does. and im sure he does it well.

I can stand behind my words and use the name my parents gave me. I do understand that because we are likely to bump into each other at a state lab meeting you feel safety in you anonymity.

My phone number is on the bottom of every post and I have been contacted by some that post here. All were without animosity.

I give everyone my business model and it seems you could find a reasonable way to counter that or is the frustration that you are not up to the task.

Some of the things you say about me are true I like winning. Being a loser is not an attribute anywhere I know of. All the work I have was going somewhere else before it started coming my way. None of it belonged to anyone but the dentist that produced it.

Heh.... I was a luirker for nearly ten years until i started reading Mr. (was going to write uncle but don't want the argument) Tom's posts a few years ago. I got so angry I started posting I think I irritate him as much as he irritates me, but we seem to have called a truce of sorts and it's better like that. There are many on these forums that are stealth advertising, I can spot them a mile away. If you take these forums too seriously it will drive you crazy, my advice is to just let it go before it esculates and turns into a shouting match (I'm trying to remember all the names rob called me in our last exchanges.

Your post in simplistic at best. I don't praise communism any more than being pro American is praise for the left wing socialist Democrats. I do praise the great techs we have working for us. They are no more communists than most posting here are left wing social Democrats. I understand that what I do and technology is causing havoc in the domestic lab industry and brought change the industry was not ready for. Even we are bringing more of our production back domestic every day but for sound business reasons not unfettered nationalism.

I earned the right to wear that hat buy being in the Navy. I gave them a blank check they could cash all the way to getting me killed so you could write anything you want here. What branch of the service were you in. If you were in thank you for your service. If not thank you for your kind support of a disabled vet.

And you bringing back the work here brings me great delight. It's not just about getting some printers, and cad cam machines to control labor. It's not about the cheapest product you can bring to market.

It's about surrounding yourself with great technicians, and great people that have a real passion for what they do. It doesn't matter if you're a plumber, a painter, a lawyer or a Doctor...it all remains the same for long term success, even in a difficult economy.

Never chase the dollar... and take care of your people.... and it will come back ten fold....it has for me

Most labs are small and there is a reason. They have never been a big part of my business model because most can't sell what they make beyond survival let alone plug into the volume it takes to make money in offshore outsourcing.

People react more aggressively to a truth they don't want to hear, much more than lies.
