So we have this old arse Vita ZYrcomat from the inlab days. I am currently firing a test crown in the oven (as I type this) for a test to see the outcome. Now that oven can be programmed but it really shouldn't. I think it is a 100 climb, then hits 1530 hold for 2 hours them cool down. Now I don't think it will be enough for the heany HT to get that extra trans on the inci area @ 1590 degrees. I have used in the past a Zircar Hotspot 110 (AWESOME OVEN!) and the Origin Duotron Pro. What other ovens out there are capable of a fast fire program around a 4-5 hour cycle and a longbridge 10-14hour and a regular 8hour cycle? Something that is programmable. I am completely clueless when it comes to oven choices. Nothing too $$$ please.

Thanks

Sevan

Mihm-Vogt, even though I don't have one and was clueless when we got two origin duo tron's. The Mihm seems to be the oven of choice these days.

I have One for you for under $4k. Can hold 50 units easy, and up to 100 stacking trays Two layers.

I stock replacement parts and elements, but unit comes with extra elements.

I have Three in stock.

We have sold Two in California this year, and everyone is happy.

Unit takes Three people to lift.

We are starting to pack for LMT New York show....leave on Thursday.
I use mostly rectangular trays to hold my work. You can stack trays, or use Round.
We sell these trays, 5 for $99 in either round or rectangular.
The open furnace below is 120x130x120mm chamber and is $3900 shipped to you.
Little Pink One in the bus is 100x 100x100mm chamber, and we sold out for now.
Will have Four more smaller units in a Month, painted like the General Lee. (Orange w/01 on side)
And other Four Deep Purple and Dark Grey.

The 120x130x120 will also come in different colors. We are retiring the Pink. All sold and no more Pinks.
I have Three Green and Black 120s to sell today.

Seven, what program do you run in your ZIRCAR?
Are you in need of something that just runs at a higher temp?

Oh I forgot that info.., our furnaces are all 1700C rated. :)

Above 1600C, you place an extra piece in the front. It is a square, removable brick of extra insulation about 2" thick.

We do not use it for 1530C, but at close to 1600C I think you should use the extra layer of insulation.

I think it was the one programmed in the oven. I am no longer at that lab, so I couldn't tell you the mapping.

Do you adjust the program map before firing, lets say for instance you want to do a 5 hour fast fire, would you set it up then run and then have to reset it for a normal firing or can you program a couple different maps like fast, regular long bridge and Higher trans maps?

Why do you want to change the program all the time?

Anyways, you can change the program before, during, or after any cycle, and hold the cycle anytime you want.

We program a good 5 1/2 hr cycle, and leave it alone. It holds One program.

Why do you want to change the program all the time?

4-5 hours is fine for a rush case cut early in the AM in order to get it out in the PM. But what about long bridge firing? 5.5 hours for a 10 unit bridge is a no no. I know you may have more then 2 or 3 of these babies but I am only going to have one so i need to be able to change the mapping.

We bake big bridges and little singles all together.

2hr soak is as good as it gets IMO. We tried going longer and longer, but nothing special happened?

Then, the cooling time is up to you. Let it naturally cool, or.....We crack the furnace to speed up cooling, or not. This is where the big/small thing comes into play for us at least.? We gently cool big pieces. Has nothing to do with the program "MAP" for trying to cool faster, or not. It's a manually done thing. No computer controller electric "elevator" on this machine. Just a swing door.

We also use a regular C&B furnace to pre-bake all zirconia. 400F with door cracked to burn off liquids. Our Sintering furnaces are usually kept warm all the time. It's a weird and unusual set-up.

You can do whatever you want, and all labs are different.

Anyways, this is a furnace that you can do as you please to make yourself happy. Change the program ten times a day if you want, I don't care? Takes 2 seconds.

I agree - It's an oven with long time expierence and predictable results, specially in HT crowns. It's not a cheep oven, but
over the years it will easy pay - even much less remakes.

Ask labs they are using not only one like axis milling they are using 3 of those and before they used the Origin Duotron.

Don't decide too fast - call and talk to users
