Do people keep contacting me and begging me to make appliances for them. to fix broken retainers and make Night gaurds with out the middleman, there Dentist or Orthodontist... its illegal thats why the form the DR.s give me is called a Perscription! :rant:

I work from home and I get people coming to my door asking me to fix thier denture or make them one. Love it when they whip it out of thier mouth to show you

I get asked fairly often, as well. I tell them I need a lab slip from their dentist. That usually puts and end to it. I have an ortho lab and the most annoying thing I'm asked is questions about friends'/relatives dentures, and yes, they always want to open their mouths and show me! yuck!

And peole wonder why I'm not in the yellow pages. I'm a basement lab, peole still show up, I ask for a lab slip, if they don't have one I have several DDS who give me a kickback for the patients I refer (I also like their hands),a double good for me.
