hi there, iam a 1 man prosthetic lab in New zealand and have started looking at flexible injection systems, valplast, thermosens seem to be the ones currently touted over here. how ever a supplier has suggested I look at the Ultra flex material for a flexible , obviously less cost invovled , cost of valplast system appro $12000, thermosens $9000. the ultra flex material about $400 I would appreciate any comments about this sort of flexy partial. can it be relined , repaired ,added to, . any other options you could suggest ? cheers ,thanks in advance. cheers mike.

Ultra Flex is fully repairable, but I personally can't recommend it to anyone. We used it for about 6 months or so, and I believe I have remade every partial with a new material. After 6 months +/- it's like they just started falling apart.

Check out Duraflex, and if setup cost is concerned look into getting a older manual crank injector and furnace. I still have one set up. Bought it 5+ years ago for less then $2,000. On a budget I'd say you could get into flexibles for a couple thousand pretty easy. Be a much better option IMO.

We have used ultraflex and our experience is the same as James. It is great for a temp situation like a flipper or immediate partial. It is not a good option for a long term prosthetic.

I've been used (astron Ultraflex) it's good material it's flexible Acryl, you can processing it using packing sys. Or pouring sys. And it's able to repair and reline otherwise you can handle it as you are handling the regular Acryl . It has a good flexibility . And if you put it under warm tap water it will get more flexible .

Hi everyone.
I've just purchased Thermosens and it's going great. I am using pre-loaded cartriges.
Just got some bulk granulate. Does anyone know how many granules I put in a blank cartridge for each job whether its a small, large or Full denture?

Cheers
