Advanstar Dental Media is pleased to announce Thomas R. Zaleske as an integral addition to Dental Lab Products’ editorial team as its Benchtop Editor, charged with maintaining a high quality, highly artistic approach to their coverage of the handcrafted tradition still prized in the dental lab industry.
In 1988, Tom graduated from Triton College with an A.S. degree in Dental Laboratory Technology while working as an in-house technician in a two doctor prosthodontic practice, lasting a total of nine years. During this period he worked with patients who required removable prosthodontic treatment and followed their progress in a clinical and laboratory environment. Following his tenure there, he built a 500 square foot laboratory in his home where he continues to service his clients.
In addition to his traditional experience, Tom joined Jürg Struck, a Swiss Master Dental Technician, in three clinical courses where he observed the treatment of patients in a clinical approach over a two-day period. He also followed Mr. Struck through his advanced denture fabrication techniques.
Mr. Zaleske is a past member of The Marvin W. Healy Study Club of Chicago, a founding member of the CDTS ChicagoLand Dental Technicians Study Group, a current member of NADL, technician status, and a member AIDL /Association of Indiana Dental Laboratories.
Along with Dental Lab Products’ award-winning editorial team, Tom’s mission is to utilize his expertise and experience to educate the dental lab market on the latest products, the most relevant industry trends, and exciting events in the dental lab community. His longevity in the dental lab industry has proven to be meritoriously successful, while building a name for himself as an acclaimed journalist.
