What’s your opinion or experience with dentures made from peek ? Is it worth it?

Can you say some reasons? I saw technicians already doing it…

More expensive than acrylic, high temperature thermoplastic, color. From what I remember it doesn't stick to itself. Consider reline and repair scenarios. Something will always have to be fixed later, why make it hard on yourself. Nothing in dentistry is breakproof.

You are in the same place as printed dentures. Some you cannot reline or repair. Life span is less than 5 years and insurance will not pay for another one for the same period of time. I call them expensive cheap appliances. My question was always WHY?
For now traditional dentures are cheaper, better, more esthetic and last longer. What is the problem with that?

And easily maintainable/fixable.

PEEK dentures are durable because they are incredibly strong and are resistant to fractures and wear resistance. The material is not moisture-absorbent, which helps to maintain its shape well. However, PEEK does not have the natural look that porcelain dentures do, and also does not have the same translucent and gum-like appearance. It is also harder to polish and more difficult to achieve a smooth and high-gloss finish.

We made our first PEEK restorations over 10 years ago.
We've never used it for full dentures.
In my opinion, the best application is model casting. The mechanical properties and the very low weight are major advantages.
These are the very strong adhesion disadvantages of tartar. Furthermore, there were recurring problems with chipped veneers. We couldn't find a veneering system that didn't cause problems. For this reason, we then worked with veneers.
We decided against PEEK primarily because of the problems with the rapid adhesion of tartar.
Also, stay away from PEEK.
