Any suggestions on how you guys are dealing with your cad records and integrating them into lab records? Are you obligated to keep all the files 10 years? Thanks.

I have thought about this before, we do a duel back up each night one to a cloud server the other to a solid state external drive but that is just for us really. Does anyone out there offer a data guarantee? Everyone offers a guarantee on work but what about data! As for integrating cad records with patients lab records we have the option to create a patient file for pictures and then just drop the .stl files into that.

I've thought about a backup. Sounds like a logical thing to do. Wonder what the legalities are on this? These are medical records right? Have you ever had to go back to an old scan and remill the crown? I'm wondering if the data should be archived or just deleted after a certain amount of time.
