The angle of the picture is misleading. Like the pictures of a house for sale look way different than walking in. When in the down position the mount is farther away still, but can be brought into any reasonable distance by the dual arm trick.I'd need something at a little more of working distance away from me than the ones attached to the varidesk. They'd be to close for me.
