Glidewell sells a small version of their Prismatik oven that has been a real workhorse for us. We have several of the large ones now, but the small one was the first we had, and it's at least four years old or more and has never had an issue. Priced right, built to last.

"In fact, the zirconia sintering furnace of Glidewell is made in China"

Can anyone confirm that, that is a great price! might even be worth shipping one to the UK at that price!

yes.

I have one I bought for under $3000 US.
I bought from ming Ki on ebay. He has 1500c, 1600c and 1700c.
Also option of USB cable to computer for logging of cycles and programming for extra few $$.

Heating elements will be broken when you receive the oven. 50% chance of that.
Be prepared to order many extra elements for that and for future use.

I buy elements from another supplier, but Ming also has decent prices.

6/12 elements are very durable, but slow to heat and cool. (1700 oven)
5/10 elements are faster, but higher chance of breaking.

(5mm small hot end, 10mm cold electrode end.)

Oh, take apart oven and pull the loose tag off the transformer. (4inx2in sheet of metal)

It is made of metal and will fall and short out the unit on exposed terminals! YIKES!

I saw that before I plugged it in.

Yes I believe at the time of the previous posts Glidewell's furnace is a Chinese resale item. You get what you pay for, right. Low price means low reliability and no service. Zircar HotSpot Ovens are made in USA, great service, fairly priced and they run on 110V so you dont need 220V service; 2 year warranty
