Hi everybody I haven't posted anything in years, still lurking around. I just bought a Phrozen mini 8ks 3D printer and I am looking for an inexpensive resin just to make models with for Crown and Bridge. I was wondering if you have any suggestions. I was thinking about using the Phrozen water washable dental resin. Let me know if you have tried that one specifically and what you think about it. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Tried Prozen water washableI resind and really enjoyed working with it, as well as the properties of the material itself but could not get a decent result in accuracy.
Below is a heatmap of the model printed on Resione model resine, Eligoo printer
Maybe I'm just clumsy and couldn't figure out the settings :)
Resione heatmap:

Material that is half the price shows excellent results.

i like heat maps but first check surface light penetration of the resin due too scanner i bet more than 50 % heat maps are **** due to that circumstance ;)

Never thought about it...
But isn't it still the only objective way to measure the discrepancy between a printed model and a 3D object? I mean for us, ordinary people
Or is there a more accurate way?

My absolute favorite model resin is applylabworks Sand MSLA model resin. The color is a nice opaque sand, prints beautifully on our Phrozen and Elegoo Printers, and it's only $39/bottle. Used to use ResiOne, but their prices kept creeping up.

Thank you guys for your replies I've been looking at that applylabworks resin. It has my interest.

Ive had good results with the phrozen water washable in my mighty 4k. The siraya tech gray didnt work as well.

I have a friend who is going to try the Phrozen water washable here in the next couple days. I really like the idea that you don't have to use a bunch of alcohol. I'll wait and see what he thinks also. Thank you for the suggestion.

what is objective if you have 60 my penetration each side in this case ??

I have tried some other water based resin but if you leave it for a day or so on the bench before using it, it become like a fish scales because of the moisture in the air sucked back into the resin.

I asked a very specific question. How can I check the printer's accuracy in a laboratory, without specialized equipment?
I don't quite understand your message. It turns out that the printing results don't need to be scanned and checked at all, since the light penetrates the material differently?

Check first if you have light penetration either caused by scanner vs resin , second metric control with callipers on known geometry ,third paint small areas like stumps with 4 micron scan paint , make a long span control model with plaster , check long time shrink and so on there are so many ways but never trust your scans vs scanner before your sure theres no problem.just a few options see pics . A lot resin is made with clear base adding color deppending what kind its more vs less opak returning light on surface vs from a bit deaper .Scanner trianglation is based on surface reflection not deaper thats why scansprays ,paint and so on exist . Or like IOS recalculated surface penetration on teeth vs different kind of restauration materials more or less accurate.
