Hello everybody!
Could you share your opinion on these two subjects, please:

1. Is it all right to use bonding alloy Bio PontoStar® XL (from BEGO, Au 86 - Pt 11,5 - Zn 1,6 - Rh <1 - Fe <1 - In <1) for a full gold crown?

2. Is there a high possibility of galvanic reaction in the mouth between PFMs (non-precious alloys) and full gold crowns (high-noble alloys)?

Thank you

that bego alloy defintely seems (to me anyway) that it is a ceramic alloy for porcelain. you CAN use that alloy for a full gold crown with no issues, but it is just going to cost you more in the end. with gold being over $1500 an ounce, that 86% gold will be pricey! you could use a full-cast alloy with 60% gold and get nice color, not to mention it will be much less expensive. if that 86% gold is all you have you could use it no problem.
you will not have to worry about any galvanic reactions either!

Noble metals are gold, platinum and palladium.

There are some of each in a high noble metal crown
but the predominant metal is gold, so we call it a gold
crown for convenience but it is an alloy as pure gold
is to soft to make a crown out of.
