This is getting to be a hairy situation. One person clearly didn't get the shaft and the other is asking " what does yours look like?".....popcorn

Not good... not good at all. I'm feeling very deceived as well.

I think you have a Four axis mill there guy.

No chance of milling metal the correct way with that.

I don't see any 5th axis rotary on that animal.

Does anybody have extra information about the spindle on the Roland DWX-50?
Where and name of company that builds them?
How many Kw?
How many hours of use before replacement?
Cost of the spindle?
How long does it take to get spare part?
any extra information will be appreciated thank you.

Yeah, that's not the Pro 5000 with 5th axis.

Sorry.

99.99% sure that's only a Four axis mill.

Tyler, you have good spindles. Nothing to complain about. It's German for crying out loud. Not a Chinese motor.

Cheer up!

It throws me off guard when something like this happens thats all! I am doing my homework on the IMT to compare. I just thought they were a Jager provider but I guess things change!

Hello Harmony?

Did you figure out yet if you actually have a 5-axis mill or not?

Was there a problem with communication on your order you placed?

It'd be one thing if the mill actually worked when you got it, jager or not. You'd think they would have tested the thing before they sent it to you, right?

eeeh, many 3M mills did not work on delivery. They are complex machines.

The Voltage in Europe may have been a factor? The Spindle controler probably needs a wee-bit of tweeking, or ??

May be the software that drives the spindle, or just the transformer/controler itself that needs manual adjustment of voltage output?

Maybe a step-up transformer to 235V would have fixed it??

sigh.. how do I go about checking to see if it's 5 axis?

btw, what kW spindle is needed for milling metal?

Their website specifies the pro 5000 as a 5axis machine. Like ***, I don't see the fifth axis in the photo. Wonder if the fifth is in the top?
