Hi All,
We started getting uneven results from our DWX-52D. Technical support recommended we replace the spindle (1800 hours). We did and it solved our milling problem but created a new problem.
We mill using 2mm, 1mm and 0.6mm Sierra diamond cutting tools. The 2 and 1mm tools are fine. When the mill picks up a 0.6mm tool it emits a high, loud squeal when handling the tool. Once the tool is in position to actually mill the crown it quiets down until the tool is raised to move it to a new position. It's really loud.
We bought a second new spindle and installed it and the squealing is lessened but is still there. We've removed ad re-installed the spindle multiple times. We've replaced the 0.6 cutting tool multiple times and replaced the magnetic tool holder.
About a month prior to this we updated Millbox and V-Panel so we're using the current versions.
Our technical support people have no other suggestions and Roland has been less than helpful.
Any thoughts?
