Had some free time to play with Rhino and made some plans for Zr firing pegs (partly because the Gladiator suggested it on another tread :p)... Feel free to cut it and test it... Got no clue how would it perform...don't blame me if it blows your crowns to pieces :D...

Link to download STL file: http://ge.tt/2Dlv2Qr/v/0?c

Height: 18 mm
Base diameter: 20 mm

EDIT: Cannot correct typo in the title :banghead:... Any ideas ?

Oh no, I didn't mean pegs, I was wondering if you could mill some zirconia firing pins for your rifle, or your 3d printed gun...
However, that is one damn fine looking firing peg you designed.

Very cool, just shrink it down so it will fit in ta 20mm disk :)

Also I am absolutly certain its the most expensive peg in the world :)

You design however is BAD ASS!

Will shrink it, the next version will have a height of 16mm...for a moment I didn't realize that Zr has a shrinkage factor, just measured one of my alumina firing pegs for height. ..

It was fun seeing my cam auto place the bars. It took only 30 secs to render the strategy to mill it with my 3.2 Zenocam :)

Would there be an issue while firing considering a heat exchange in the zirc peg?

I wouldn't think there's any issue firing on them, specially Zr restorations...they have the same CTE...probably also takes the heat cycles well...thinking of sintering beads...
