For me personally, continuing ed is great. You can learn a lot on forums/message boards like this and Dental Town as well, especially if your in need of a specific questioned answer. However, I will say I learned best by watching Master Techs do their work, hands on training, best training I ever had. Keep in mind their only inanimate objects, don't get frustrated.......lol

I agree learning from the more experienced is the best way. Unfortunately their are many of us that don't have that opportunity.

Lab manuals

The new lab manual came out in mid 06. It is an electronic version in Adobe Acrobat. Title is AFPAM 47-103 V1 & 2. dated 15 Nov 2005. I just checked the goverment printing office and they do not have it listed. I checked my printed copy and don't see anything that prevents me from sending you a copy. I printed mine in color and it was about $80 plus binding. Once in awhile you can find the discks on e-bay for about $10.
