So why am I told by tech support that the FDA hasn't approve a fully edentulous workflow, but then this was posted on 3shapes website months ago?

Hey Marc – As stated in the press release your linking to, the FDA approved a dual scan protocol for edentulous patients.

Naturally, there are other edentulous workflows, but for now, we only support the dual scan protocol in Implant Studio. We do not mention any other protocols in the press release.
