We use Origin Beyond Plus for 90 % and Origin Live for the very tight bites. Been using both for many years and we have tried most on the market but don't see any reason to change when you have consistency already.
I think Nobel has these files locked down for their scanner software. You can check with Nobel but they only make them available to 3shape or there own scanner which is a version of exocad.
When the bridge is not screw retained, you have to choose engaging for both because the doctor could never get them locked down in the exact position you have on the model. Especially if they are angled.
We do alot of these and porosity is usually caused by putting the flask together to soon. We pour the material on each half of the flask and don't press together until the material has lost the sticky feel when you touch with your finger.
Do you mean the Cerec IO scanner? We have an mcxl and inlab software SW16.1 and we receive files via Cerec connect all the time and export to STL so we can mill dry on another mill. Perhaps you could send to a lab and have them convert for you.
Fronthunter, can you tell us if there is a better description of calibrating AB axis than in the manual. It seems to jump over where to find the numbers to calculate the calibration. Thanks Kirk
I know this is an old port but good to hear from you Ben, would you have any clear info on calibrating the AB axis on a Yena D15. The manual is now clear enough for me to calibrate those axis. Thanks Ben
We have exocad and a mcxl and you have to have an open module to import an stl . We send exocad files to other mills. You can export stl with SW16 software. This is in the US.
Bryce, could you be more specific? I would be happy to help if i can but need to know if your going to assist a doctor or receive an impression and start the case. We
have done zr and pmma. Do you just need to know how to start with exocad?
I sent a message to Yena and received the strategies for 30 mm pucks but they said longer burs might be needed. I was hoping you might have experience with the bur lengths. Thanks so much for your post.
We use DuraFlex for any partial except bites that are so close you would use a full metal tooth. We can add teeth and clasp as needed most of the time.
