And another thing, whats with all of the secret names in here??? Why not just be yourself? Use your real names?
Perhaps I was doing him an injustice. He is without question the kind of doc you want to work for in every capacity, and he gets it. His invite was also early in the game (3 or so years ago) when it was more of a small group. Either way I very much look forward to seeing the process for joining when it does come out until then I'm content with looking at all that juicy dental porn in my fb feed.
Whats a credential? If enough people call you a jack%$&, which Im sure you have, it means you have mastered being one. (which Im also sure you have) Now you are Juko, JA... Who am I to challenge that? I shall not, and I will not.
Its a credential to us, and thats all that matters. I don't need Lobbying, and I don't need anyones MONEY. You can continue on like a sheep and pay money into something so you can feel important.
I came on this forum to defend a friend. Have you ever done that? Try it instead of being a coward.
Ps I have take the tests JA, and guess what? Never went back for the hands on because I didn't see anything on the tests past the age of 1975. Thats what you have backing your "credentials'??
Way to push the industry.[/QUOTE
if you e taken the hands on portion of the tests. You'd know they are quite hands on and in fact the most difficult of the tests. 99% of my work is completely analog and I've agreed with your assessment of the nadl in your recent posts and I also agree with your assessment of the jdt mag. We can agree to disagree about DTG being an accredited credential. I had an open mind about the guild until 'yawn' opened his mouth. The CDT program is really meaningless anymore IMO because the quality of work is very poor.
I'm sure you looked through the latest issue of JDT.
It is embarrassing.
You represent the commodity side.
The producers of equivent of beans.
You abandoned the quality and professional side you represent the industrial side.
The one driving the prices and quality down.
CDT program is just a bare minimum of mostly head knowledge but little hands in skills and IMO the NADL and CDT program is dying.
I am seeing so many shows dying that manufactors are rethinking returning.
It takes consistent involvement #1 and good attitude and not argumentative
Not just techs also docs and some reps
Started as a support group a study club then people just started coming on their own
Requests from hundreds of people all over so that's why the affiliate page started
Then out of no where comes the NADL people stirring the pot.
And other people. We've never bad mouthed people we freely give out tons of free help and info and techniques
Ive said it before, i think a guild is a great thing. I think being exclusionary makes it more of a club than a guild but thats semantics. The fact is that even if you want to join, its not possible.. (unless you are invited?) yet it is possible to pay for lectures or a magazine.. if Im wrong please correct me. There are dozens of FB pages that arent associated with DTG that I can post to, in addition to this forum. I think we all need to tone it down a bit, we can all agree that anyone with letters after their name can make a ****y crown.

Non of my posts were about your guild. It was about using dtg letters as accredited credentials. I challenge you to try and achieve certification. You couldn't even bother with finishing the tests. Considering you even passed the written portion. You didn't give me a chance before you opened yours. You had us all figured out and you guys are here on this forum cheering about what you know nothing about. You did not have an open mind. You are just saving face now. And, as soon as I leave, you will continue on.
I am on like 30 groups on FB where I try to post and get involved when I can, I dont trash people.. yet the only 2 groups that have pending requests that were never accepted were the DTG page for over a year and the Seattle DTG page. That is not true. There are people being added on a regular basis. People if varying talents
Ok, victim much. I would shake your hand. Then I would challenge you to get certified again because its not about abandoning the CDT program for something new, it's about trying to rejuvenate and strengthen what we already have.Goodnight everyone- CDT Wade and Juko, I do not hold grudges. I think they are silly. If I see you at an event, I will be happy to shake your hand and meet you face to face. And if you want to take a swing, I understand. But I will not shut up about what I care about. You probably won't see me on here again, Im sure I will be kicked off or something after tonight.
But there is a better way. Come and be a part of it. Or don't.
Von Grow, DTG
Is that not what you do here? No grudges for sure. One last thing DTG is a place where people like me can and do mentor or help train young techs that are hungry to learn and improve in their jobs or their business or techniques. That is probably 70% of what goes on there. Then there is trouble shooting and networking across the world.
And unlike Oral Design where you must be hand picked by Willi we have a way for the average tech to get involved
Holy crap, this. This whole conversation is so much a waste of time
Dentistry is actually a small part of my life.
I really don't cared what anybody thinks about me.
I want to make a cross country trip on my motor scooter and that is way more important than this BS.
