You can use lots of things to make your own... I use the ends of my runner bars sometimes, but I also have a kerr pontic kit.

Bio Pontics by Kerr, used them from the day Ken Kuthrie created them..If I had to hand wax again, I would stock several brands of pontic kits to increase the number of sizes and shapes, including Bio, they save a lot of time.
