I need an E-Max Ingot for this case. 14 year old Pt.
and # 8 is an Endo with Metal Post and Composite ST 2
and might darken even further in time .
# 9 is sticking out a lot ST2 and I already did a reduction coping but still....
Dr. Wants it as flat as possible and nice of cause.

What would be your choice of E-Max ingots for a 030 ??

Thanks Guys

Could do HO as well since the shade is so light, just a thought.

No space and metal core... HO.
Unless you have space the MO might not cover the metal on a light shade. The HO is super white but as lab guy said you have a light shade.
Press it at 0.6mm and carefully trim it back to 0.4mm or less if you dare. That stuff is super opaque.
Zirconia is also an option for dark cores.
Does anyone know if there are opaque cements...oh wait it will be bonded! Is it possible to get the dentist to opaque it with some composite opaque? If so you could go to LT and then the space would be less of an issue.
^^^ that was me thinking out-loud

i normally switch to zirconia if you cant dentine bond.

The HO ingots are pretty nasty really, just too opaque.

I would use the e.max MO0 ingot for this case definetely, then layered with e.max ceram dentin BL2 and incisal bleach (BL) & then any addtional porcelains you wish. I recommend layering one shade lighter then having the ability to shade down if necessary. case should turn out very nice for you.

yeah you can cement emax but the strength of glass ceramics increases many times when its dentine bonded.

Thats why we are switching to zirconia at the moment when dentine bonding is not desirable or possible.

Having said that the last time i checked ivoclars clinical study which is around 5 years now, both cementation methods were showing 98% success rate i think.
