You get those errors no matter which scanner is hooked up?

Good point, and look at what version of scan suite you are running
5072 is the current version, so its not a version thing, i just think the software has glitched and needs reinstalling

Fiddled around with similar issue some time.

In my case the USB Device ( 3shape D800 Scanner ) got installed as virtualblabla-Device after playing around with some USB network sharing tools.

TLDR: If you run into this it may help if you try to find out which driver is currently installed for the connected scanner ( open device manager > USB Controllers, plug/unplug the scanner-usb cable to see which Device is going on and off ) and then while connected again right click uninstall this device.
Then unplug/reconnect scanner and it might install correctly again as in my case.


here we go 2014 problem maybe solved :D
