The problem is milling centres dont have experienced ceramists operating the cad, or in more and more cases, not even techs at all, so if you leave to them, you just get nonsense back. and the absolute last thing i wanna do is start adjusting bridge connectors in sintered ZR. If a sintered zr bridge comes back and the connectors are wrong then its fit for the bin in my opinion.

i THINK with the improved softwares out now, i could do it stright in CAD. most anterior stuff i do is off diagnostic wax ups so as long as there is an ACCURATE! way of mapping these to a working model and the software dosent start telling me what i can and cant do with my connector designs, then theres half a chance. Unlike the craplab software that i was using in the past which was a complete waste of time.

Im looking at buying into a new scanner at the moment so i guess i might find out soon.

"All the training I've received on zr framework is stressed on having connectors big as zr still isn't as strong as metal."

case selection and just comes back to having someone that knows what there doing, understands occlusion and function, is able to diagnose from tooth wear on the model and has a proper history of the case.

I'm surprised there are still labs out there without a scanner.
I can't imagine sending my models to someone else to design.

That's why Encode and Atlantis are non starters for me. I have complete control over all my designs and I let the experts mill for me. I have the best of both worlds and have never been busier.

Tyler are you going to his Sept anterior course ?

I am hoping I have my fingers crossed for it. Sept will be a busy month. I'm trying to squeeze in the Izir Class at CAP, Russ's Anterior Class, and I think the NADL University is all in Sept. Still trying to figure everything out.

If you are going I will be there sitting right next to you so I can take notes from the old great one.

HA Ha you wont learn to much from me but I am for sure going to be there. Anterior Form and Function. Should be a good one.
If anybody is interested don't put it off, don't know if Russ will be doing them next year. He said last year was his last but I talked him into doing it one more year. Really my motivation is selfish because I didn't want him to retire before I could take it.

I've heard there will be a lot of great technicians at the Anterior Course in Sept.

I think we should make a deal Al, come down here and teach us some stuff and I will teach your son Cad/Cam :pray2:

Your personal layering or according to some "master"?
it would be interesting to know that porcelain match various colors ..

Just built it up - no plan ( practicing photography ) The ceramic is mixed with Ivoclar colour liquid to enhance colour and show the different layers !

As some may recall, I've gotten carried away with some photo editing...ha ha! But I have come to use it as a tool to help me see what I'm actually doing. Tinkering with different filter settings, color schemes, and styles help make color, contour, lines, textures, embrasures, ect really pop out.

Yes all pfz . Zirconzahn (so far I'm getting best results ) . And GC ceramic.
In fact I'm not completely satisfied with the lines & contour ! :) i got to learn and practice more !
But overall I'm satisfied .
