Did anyone else enjoy the materials articles in the March issue of IDT?

Pam Johnson wrote a nice article on next generation materials. Highlights include "green" state metal that can be sintered after milling, self polishing zirconia and net shape blocks to speed milling time and reduce material waste.

I think you can access the article online:
March 2012 | Inside Dental Technology | dentalaegis.com

Another article in the same issue covers the science behind machinable zirconia.

Enjoy!

Much of the information in that article was outdated.

Got a really good look at Lava ultimate and Lava Plus samples today. I was impressed with both. Checked out several units under 10X mag!!!
The Lava Ultimate was simply milled and polished. In my hand it looked quit vital.
I believe Both materials have potential to be winners. Especially, if 3M markets the products to the dentist. Not to mention, Jensen's attention to doing things right.
