Seriously, these guys have been on my play list since 2002. Great band, but they rarely leave the UK, so I'm going to have to go over there to see them.

Did you know that the Mad world song is played on General Hospital every time Franco shows up ? (James Franco) He just showed back up yesterday and is a real pest. You can watch GH on HULU or Yahoo TV :)
I've been watching for over 30 years now ;-)

I once worked in a lab where the owner said, "You can't do this level of quality work and listen to music." LMAO I thought, well, i can walk and chew gum can't I? One musn't think too highly of himself or his dental lab should he? So glad I don't work there anymore. they actually laughed when I put up my "I love me" wall. All my diplomas and credentials. I asked him what had he done with his life, besides own a dental lab that Daddy gave him.

Where i worked back in the 70s, they always played musak all the time. At a barely audible sound level. They said it had been proven that musak promoted good work habits and better concentration. Being a rock and roller who played in a band - i hated it! You could get fired if you changed the channel - even late after hours and the owners walk in... which happened to me twice.

That said - we were more productive at that lab than any other I've ever seen. The quality of work was superior as well in every department. It was a full service lab. Productivity and quality dropped when they started allowing personal Walkmans into the lab. So there may be some truth to it.

(For you youngsters, Walkmans were tape players you could carry in your pocket and you wore headphones. iPods pretty much ended that market)
