we are using acrylic blocks... more expensive i'm sure, but they can sit around and take some abuse before investing... i can also mill them out and wait a little till i can press a batch instead of burning up ingots... the cost is probably a wash, but much more convenient... can sprue them up and get to it whenever

have a small fridge in the milling room... they mill better when cold

Scanned and Milled 4 units of Wieland Blue wax invested with Microstar burned out @1562~ (like my buddy Patrick) and they fit like a glove...

we started using bego, 1562 burnout, 23 min bench set
we have less of a reaction layer than microstar.
air conditioning in the lab was out... 95 degrees inside and no changes in fit
