Medit Blue is fantastic. Period. Amann is not bad as a scanner but you will be tied to them for ever. You will get Exocad updates once every 2 years..
Get the Blue! It just got better and faster now with the launch of 2015 model.

Medit is a great scanner and company, get in though quick as pricing will rise at the beginning of the year! (note still cheaper than most though apples to apples)
