MacPractice Demonstrates New Abilities at GNYDM, Nov. 25-28, Booth #905

* MacPractice 3 is the foundation for many upcoming advancements and provides a host of new features. MP 3 utilizes recently released MySQL 5. Attachments is now separate from transactions and may be stored on a volume and backed up separately. The elegant MacPractice interface has been enhanced. An updated Treatment Plan Ledger supports Phases and scheduling of Phases of Treatment. It is now easy to create temporary and permanent treatment plan options with drag and drop.
* MacPractice DR (Digital Radiography) is the first fully integrated digital radiography solution for Mac users. A new integrated Ability for MacPractice DDS users, MP DR will be available as a standalone product as well. MacPractice collaborates to feature a variety of Mac native sensor and phosphor plate solutions. Designed to work with every popular PC and Mac digital x-ray solution, MacPractice DR supports the of use several x-ray solutions at the same time. Dentists are advised to call MacPractice to discuss compatibility with the solution they prefer.
* MacPractice is working with several popular dental x-ray solution vendors to create a Mac driver for their solution, to work with a Mac driver they already have, or to support a bridge to their product.
* MP DR uses Apple?s Core Image and some of its newest interface advancements, such as ?skimming,? allowing a dentist to place images in a stack. Running a mouse over the stack displays the images.
* Intraoral and smile photos may be stored and manipulated. MacPractice works with manufacturers to qualify wireless and wired camera integration. Some will be demonstrated at GNYDM.
* MacPractice EDR (Electronic Dental Record) implements electronic forms to store and interact with clinical patient data including Health History and Chart Notes with graphic annotations.
* MacPractice iPhone Interface assists a dentist to see appointments, view patient info, click to call or email a patient on the iPhone, and review Rx history. Future releases will make it possible to request an appointment, view treatment plans, post procedures, and view management reports. The iPhone Interface works on a Mac or PC computer as well.
* MacPractice Chart will ship 1st quarter 2008. Prerelease pricing is available at GNYDM.
* MacPractice Perio is available now, and we will be demonstrating integration with the Dental R.A.T.
* MacPractice Web Forms for Internet and Reception helps offices take another step toward being paperless. Patients may register themselves and request an appointment. Forms may be integrated into a practice web site. Additional Web Forms are forthcoming.
