I was in-house (35 yrs)CDT, doing fixed and implants- put my foot down to doing removables, about 2 months after I left the boss called to saw basically he didn't realize how lucky he had been. Yes the commercial lab that took over his cases was good, but wasn't able to really go the extra mile - ok that isn't coming out right - but Affinity nailed it about doing it right, no matter how many remakes it took. The most was 10 remakes on one central Banghead, or redoing a full mouth because the patient decided A-1 was too darkBangheadBanghead. And I was d**** bossy when it came to impressions, most retakes was 7, but if he wanted perfection, I got to demand perfection too. Yeah that kind of service costs! Good luck in finding someone. What was a major decider for me to work in-house was a 4 day work week, taking all the vacation days the Dr. took-PAID- and some years that was 7 weeks, and full dental for me and family.
