Hi guys!

We are doing a full arch bridge on Bredent Fast&Fixed implants. As you can see, our zirconia got chipped arround abutment area (PKTs).. That area got very very thin in Exocad design. Actualy it varies from 0,16 mm to 0,18 mm.

What setting should we have modified in order to get those margins thicker? Minimal thickness is set to 0.6 mm. But we think that's not it..

Thank you!

Look for the horizontal margin in Exocad. I set mine at .3mm for my bridges and odd coping that need the support.

Problem solved... It was the Radius setting put to ZERO in Abutment Bottoms...

Isn't 0.3 too thin if the height is 3 mm for example in these kind of areas? Shouldn't we go wit a 0.5 to be sure it doesn't get chipped?

Yes 0.5 this is not min thickness in this case, its a abutment bottom with a special form not flat as normal thats why its not min thickness in the software its the radius. The bottom is conical and depending on the geometry where the conical parts an the " modelation " meet thats where min thickness starts. Like a normal margin you have for example 0.2 and a small transition up to min thickness 0.6. And in your case its " the margin" not min thickness and radius is the controller !!!
