It looks like ceramic, but Ive heard others say 'its actually metallic'. Does it matter how dentists code it for insurance....what do you tell them it is?

here you go! print these off so you can share them with your dentists. i have checked into this myself and found out that these codes are working for zirconia and lithium disilicate.

Veneers-both Empress, e.max & PFZ
D2962 - Labial Veneer - Porcelain laminate - laboratory

Crowns-both Empress, e.max & PFZ
D2740 crown - porcelain/ceramic substrate

Fixed Partial Denture Pontics
D6245 pontic - porcelain/ceramic

Fixed Partial Denture Retainers - Crowns
D6740 - crown - porcelain/ceramic

Fixed Partial Denture Retainers - Inlays/Onlays
D6600 - inlay - porcelain/ceramic - two surfaces

D6601 - inlay - porcelain/ceramic - three or more surfaces

Does a "glazed" full anatomy Zir. crown go as a PFZ?

Same as a PFZ, since it has a ceramic substrate, I asked around and this was the answer I got over and over, so I go with it
