This weekends change in plans. Case was mounted on mag articulator for lower partial denture. Came in with a bite and a new upper cast. Patient now wants immediate upper / lower partial. Changes doesn't like rabbit look. Move Anterior apically 3mm lingual 3mm. I HIP mounted new master cast & mounted lower on pin articulation. I also took old cast & mounted it on same articulator )nice thing about magnetic articulators).
It looks really good. I'd love to see the patients before and after. And I like that plate on the pin, Im going to have to find something like that to fit our art's for the next time we have a large upper/lower case. I usually just build one arch ideally and follow through with the opposing arch. I would rather build the plane to the plate and then carve into maximum excursion/function after... Thanks for sharing...
Thanks Marcus I usually build the upper to the lower ridge crest posterior (this is just a trick for this kind of strange case, or for checking if something looks canted.). I have done this with clear plastic window pane 1/8"thick , this was from Ace Hardware 1/8"thick aluminum from the hobby area cut 3"x3" drill pressed #2 holes 1/4" & 3/8th" (dad & I made a bunch of these in 1975 & handed them out at an IL meeting when we did some tricks clinics.) I have since made one for my Stratus in both clear & aluminum 3" x 5".Im going to have to find something like that to fit our art's for the next time we have a large upper/lower case.
