Hello everyone, here is a BUG for EXOCAD that I was not able to fix after 2 hours I end up re-scanning this case again.
This happens often and people @ B&D couldn't help, so any ideas are welcome.
The path of insertion seems to be below the other arrows. And the scan orientation was set correctly in advance before I started designing this case.
Thanks for your help.

I would hazard a guess its the way the stl is generated . It is probably from sectioning and maybe improved by blocking out the gaps between dies. It seems some have a surface orientation and if the mash gets twisted I think that's what it would look like

Odd, almost like the units orientation is flipped?

That's what I think, it's gotten confused with the interruptions in the mesh and almost predicted the next surface.

Try looking at it in mesh lab and tidying up the mesh. There's a whole host of options for refining meshes. It's freeware and good. You should be able to look at it there. Zoom in to see the transition of the surfaces

Do you have the scan integrated in Exocad or you do it in a diferent program?

We have had this a couple of times, you just need to drop out of the design and it asks you what is the correct orientation. Once we tell it it auto corrects. I will try and get a screen shot to show you. I thought it was just my tech doing something strange.

Well after a nice Sunday at the lab I was able to solve this issue. Thanks cnhart for your hint.
I deleted upper half of the mesh and I closed the holes.
Mcplato I have a Medit scanner integrated with EXO. k2 that was the first thing I tried last week and it did not help but thanks.
Eastern Sunday I will make it up for my family :)

It's NOT exocad bug - IT IS scanning/meshing software BUG !
It happens sometimes - you probably got some "flipped normals"
I use Mesh Doctor in Geomagic Studio - just one click and is fixed.
Suggested by cnhart (hi Chris :) "Mesh LAB" - is also good software to have.
