Hi Friends,

I am fairly new implant restorations and having a problem with the mesh alignment/registration and would like any advice please.

Restoration:
Mandibular PMMA Zr Bridge copying an existing PMMA bridge opposing natural dentition

Files: (same # are scanned together and therefore relatable)
1. a. Intraoral scan: Maxillary arch (antagonist)
1. b. Intraoral scan: Mandibular PMMA bridge in-situ
1. c. Intraoral scan: Bite registration
2. Mandibular verified cast scan body with flags (Jaw scan)
3. Mandibular verified cast + Mandibular PMMA bridge (wax up)

Problem:
#1 and #2 cannot relate to each other that's why I am using #3 to connect and relate all the models to each other. However when I am adding the meshes and selecting the mesh type, I choose something that requires a "Jaw alignment" step that then ruins all the alignement I did in Expert mode. Please help!

Thanks!

Theres alot of ways to do this, but if you're newer to the process then I believe the easiest way would be this:

1. Create a dummy case
2. Load in the lower jaw scan as the working arch
3. Load in all the other files as generic visualization meshes
4. Align all meshs accordingly via multiple point alignment
5. Export the files individually in their new alignment
6. Create a new case, the one you'll actually be working from
7. Load in all the prealigned files

Exactly how I would do it.
