We charge for a survey crown with attachment labor, we mark up parts that we stock 35%.

Invoice would look like this

PFG Survey Crown $145 + alloy
Attachment labor $ 45
ERA attachment $ 45

our fee is roughly
$90 for PFM +alloy
and $60 for attachment
so all in all the invoiced amount would be right around $200 or so

I assume your attachment labor is just for the C&B portion of the case.

What do charge for the removable part?

Your right Tim, I was just quoting the fee for the crown.

We charge a $30 per attachment processing charge for ANY attachment + the attachment marked up 35% for all of these systems

HADER
LOCATOR
ZAGG
VKS
CEKA
ERA

Keeps accounting easy that way and doesn't make the client look for one system that is less costly to process than the other.

The absolutely biggest expense is to have a stock of parts large enough to be prepared for the repairs and replacements when relines come in unscheduled. I have literally thousands of dollars worth of parts that I have bought over the years as certain systems become popular. It becomes an inventory nightmare. Plus there is always the chance that certain systems will fade away ( in my local area ERA's)
