Elongated sprue junction

At the point where the sprue meets the crown, sometimes the mill does not make the junction small, as it appears in the CAM software. This causes an elongated point of attachment. I thought this had to do with the sprue being placed in an undercut and makes it difficult for the mill to access according to its axis capabilities.
Is my hypothesis correct? Therefore would rotating the orientation of the crown or placing the sprue above the undercut correct this?
Thanks

Either position those sprues/crown so the tool can reach the junction from each side or change the strategy to 5axis instead of 3 what is currently doing on those areas...it will increase the calculations time and will take longer to mill though...
