Use a different adhesive. Some dual cured cements turn grey, but usually over time. Not instantly.Hmmmm2

This cement turned a crown I made for a doc gray. It was placed on a titanium abutment, but when placed in the mouth for seating the crown looked perfect and not until it was cemented it turned gray. Any reason why this happened? Suggestion to fix?

For Ti abutments, I would recommend something like the 'Multilink Hybrid Abutment' (HO 0) cement from Ivoclar. I am sure other companies offer something similar. The one mentioned is very opaque, which masks very well the grey color of your Ti abutment.

What type of Zirconia? The other issue could be an HT Zirconia. It could look fine with the Dr. shining the overhead light in the mouth and then once they cemented and took the extra light away you the graying effect from not enough light being reflected back.
