Probability of Failure of Machined Zirconia Dental Ceramic Core Materials

I believe this is going to be a huge issue in the near future as more and more are sold on the market over the traditional PFM but will be caused by lack of substructure build up from so many of these 5/10 zirconium thimbles that are being sold by all types of milling labs.

    Epoxy die materials

Tri Dynamics here have been using it for years in the bulk 1lb bottles. Mix 6:1 ratio with the Hardener. Pour stone first; pour up around everything except the prep tooth/implant that leaves your prep tooth and/or implant unfilled. Once stone is set pour epoxy per instructions into that area...

    Emax HO 1 & 2 Ingots

Al, I should be finishing one similar to your original case "does this match". It is a case with multiple intense shades from the prep. I used DD E-max porcelain and a touch of d.sign opaque(mix to flavor) and fired this on the inside of a D-2 Lt gave me about 50% coverage of the internal chroma...

    Noritake Katana

Is the saying not holding true anymore Zirconium is zirconium? A lot depends on how thin you take them down as far as translucency. A well stained core helps a lot for hitting final shade.

    Implant to adjacent PFMs Restorations

I’ve got a great big bottle of it, it’s the old Belle De StClaire and I’m still trying to use it up. It does help with coping thickness with the petri wax. I knew that would get some response I just wasn’t sure what kind. :-)

    Implant to adjacent PFMs Restorations

Okay Here are the 4 questions that I think will be 50-50 on what’s right. 1. Should I have or have not ridge lapped the custom abutment 2. Should these contacts have been closed further to the gingival even though the natural teeth have less? 3. Should I have changed the anatomy to a...

Formula 1 + Emax press issue

I have to jump in here with Charles I do the same with the exception once I get a clear firing I start backing up to figure my 2nd and third bakes at 7' per stage. So once clear Id fire again an add-on, on the tab at 14' lower and look for clarity and texture to make sure you’re in the sweet...

    Diagnostic Wax up

Yea I get the picket fence view as well; my rotation is there but just not enough I struggled with this from the start. As in protrusive my rotation kept working against me on Inc edges, obviously something I will need to work out in the final. The height of the cuspids as well as the pointy...

    Diagnostic Wax up

Al, this is the case I spoke to you about concerning the tissue. The cuspids are erupted by about 3mm with severe bone loss in place of #23-26. I found out it is only going to be a six unit bridge. He is going to try and prep #22, 27 all the way down so I can bring them in a natural plan of...

    Will This Dude Match???

I wonder if the core material would hold up to do the dsign opaque firing technique we used to do with empress one when you where trying to block out a black stump. On the gingival 1/3 it probably would have cured your challenges. Scott

    #22-#27 Press and Stain Emax

I doubt David used forms, that’s just good old fashioned hand wax. Wax on Wax off! Renferts Wax forms ROCK! they make some diagnostics that your not fighting function fast. Scott

    #22-#27 Press and Stain Emax

Emax Anterior; why would they not have just cemented them. Then the bonding fears with blood are gone. Nice work al, I’ve not tried just staining but seeing this I definitely would not shy away in posterior. Did you see the case in June DLP that David Lesh did, Stained LTA-1? Scott

    Pink Tissue

I would love to see some of the results guys/gals are getting on the tissue materials and what they think of them. There are not many bridges that I would not like to put just a little on if I got a tissue shade from the doc and the hassle factor could stay to a minimum. Scott
