I would repolish using Myers duraflex polishing wheels or an equivalent. My guess there are more issues than just “well water”, the toothpaste definitely doesn’t help either.

Microwaved for years. Primarily because lab owner was cheap. When I opened my lab I bought the tcs duplicating machine, the best designed duplicator in my opinion. I would seriously consider buying a duplicator in the future, you can start with a microwave but when you start getting very busy...
I use instaloid, all purpose dup material. I’ve been pretty happy with it. That being said , I’ve never soaked my models prior to duplication, I dup them dry.

You must have a ton of time “Inna-hurry “or only do one articulation at a time if you stand around waiting for plaster to set and hand trim articulations, what a silly statement. The award for dumbest reply goes to you “inna-hurry”. Moron!

Big enough to trim a chrome high arch articulator? My handler isn’t really big enough either but I manage, the opening is kinda square but The Renfert opening looks more 1/4 circle shape opening and larger than the handler

I want to get rid of my 12 inch handler model trimmer and get a renfert mt3 . Has anyone used the renfert and if so is the opening big enough to trim models on a articulator? The renfert is only a 10inch but the trimming window looks larger than the opening on the 12 inch handler. I hate handler...
I’ve always used half buff half plaster. Dip your finished wax up in soapy water and blow dry before investing. We also use investing paste, I forget what it’s called but I can let you know Monday when I’m in lab. It will completely eliminate stone around teeth, I wouldn’t invest without it, you...
Hello all, I’m doing a fixed upper acrylic with5 interfaces and milled titanium bar using blueline teeth. I don’t do many of these so I have no idea what to charge the dentist . What do you guys charge for something like this? The bar is costing me about 900$ plus my tooth cost and some other...
I used the impression copings, and not much labor involved but thank you the 65 per quadrant is I a good starting point
Thank you

Myerson makes a stone called investing stone for their Duraflex partial . I was thinking of trying it for my Ivobase top cap but it is very thin and am worried it will flow through the ivobase flask. When using it for duraflex investing you don’t need to vibrate or bang flask just pour... works...
Completely agree, I make 99.9% of my dentures on hinged chrome articulators. I don’t have remakes , and resets depend on the doctor taking the bite but generally one tryin is all that is needed for 70% of my doctors and even then the resets aren’t because of bite issues but patient issues. And...
You always want excess coming out, if you don't you are almost guaranteed porosity. Also if the flask isn't closing are you investing correctly? No undercuts in the investment. The flask should close under pressure regardless of amount of acrylic

From my understanding this would be done with facebow. My advice is to knock models cleanly of facebow and remount on a regular articulator using the bite established with facebow. Setup as you normally do, then glue models back on facebow and deliver . In my opinion a $1800 articulator doesn't...
Do not melt to liquid. After you heat mesh over flame heat the wax slightly also then as I said press firmly through mesh

Soap model with soapy water, blow off model, put frame on model, heat mesh slightly the press wax through mesh. Your waxup should stay together just fine now. Setup as usual.
